Canine and Feline Blood Donor Programmes
A blood donor bank is set up in our practice to meet the ongoing needs to have blood to hand for medical emergencies. We have a pool of donors who may be called on to donate no more than twice in a 12 month period and we are always looking to add potential donors to this pool. You and your dog could literally save a life by donating.
Requirements for Blood Donation
- Any dogs over 30kg.
- Between the ages of 2 – 7.
- No pre-existing medical conditions.
- Not on any medication.
